“Apple cannot check whether ‘XYZ.pkg’ contains malicious software that may damage your Mac or compromise your privacy.”
Cause:

This message appears if under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Allow apps downloaded from only App Store is enabled. Our software is signed and notarized by us, as a verified developer (MolecularBytes), but it is distributed outside of Apple’s App Store.

How to continue the installation:
  1. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
  2. Scroll down until you see the message referring to “xxxxxx.pkg”.
  3. Click “Open Anyway”.
  4. In the following dialog, confirm again with “Open”.
Alternative (recommended for installation):
  1. In Privacy & Security, go to Allow apps downloaded from.
  2. Temporarily select App Store and identified developers.
  3. Double-click the xxxxxx.pkg file to start installation.
  4. Afterwards, you can revert the setting if desired.

Note: Replace xxxxxx.pkg above with the actual installer file name (e.g. AtomicReverb-2-0-0.pkg).
