Create presets for AtomicReverb

How can I modify factory-presets to my needs or create new one?

The easiest way to create new presets is to derive from a factory-preset.

From the available presets, select the one that comes closest to your needs.
Use now the following controls to adapt the preset:

  • Room Size - Define here how "large" the space should be.
  • ER/Tail - This defines the ratio of room sound and reverberation (reverb).
  • Reverberation - Adjust the reverb time here
  • EQ/Damping - Lastly, you can still change the desired sound of the reverb in the EQ area and adjust the damping.

If you want to create a reverb sound from scratch, you should begin with the Default preset.

Problems installing AtomicReverb on Mac OS-X 10.14

Opening the .PKG file to install AtomicReverb will produce an error message and you are not able to continue with the setup.

On MAC OS-X 10.14 the system checks a package file (.PKG) to be notarized - this is a kind of Apple service testing a package to be free from malicious software. By default Apple disallows installing un-notarized software for your security.

We cannot add notarization on the AtomicReverb setup package because - simply saying - it's not possible on that version. So, if you open/mount the downloaded DMG and double-click on that .PKG file, you will probably get an error message like this:

“AtomicReverb.pkg” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information.

On OS-X 10.15 or later, or OS-X 10.13 and earlier, all is going well... you are able to allow the installation by accept it on the page "system settings / security".

For OSX 10.14 proceed like this:

If you open the .DMG, perform a RIGHT-CLICK on the AtomicReverb.pkg package-file. On the context-menu which appears, select "Open". The message-dialog with the warning appears again, but now you have the choice to select "Open...". Click on that button and the setup will start.

Hint: In the setup, you can see a "lock" icon in the top right area. Click onto it and you will see signature-information - here you see that the package is signed by us and save.
