Questions and answers about plug-in updates
When and why there will be updates of plug-ins?
An update usually includes enhancements and bug fixes.
We will always provide updates of our plug-ins when we added improvements or fixed bugs. However, we will not release a new update for every single fix, but collect a "reasonable" amount before a release.
Possibly an update may also include some features/enhancements.
An update gets always a new version number (e.g. change from 1.0.100 to 1.1.123).
Whether you have installed the latest version of a plug-in on your computer or not you have to check the version number which is displayed in the About dialog of the plug-in.
Will I get updates when I purchased a plug-in?
Yes! If you purchased a plug-in (e.g. AtomicReverb) and register the serial number on our website with your user account (you must have previously created a user account if necessary), you always have access to downloads of current versions and updates.
To load an update, login to our website and go to "Account -> Software".
Where can I download updates?
Updates are available on our website.
You must log in as a user first, then select "Account" -> "Software" and download the update.
If you haven't an account on our website, you can register for free.
If you have purchased software from us, you can use the product's serial number that you received when you purchase to register it on "Software". This will enable you to download the latest versions and releases of the latest software.
How long can I get updates?
Updates can be downloaded without restriction - there are no time limits.
If we release a new major version which includes a lot of new features and improvements, this version may be chargeable - as this would be similar to a "new" product (In such cases there will be a low-cost upgrade for customers who own an older version of the plug-in).

I purchased software through a dealer/reseller. How can I download, install and activate it?
You have received the serial number from your reseller. You will need to create an account or login to your existing account on our web-page. After logged in, navigate to Account -> Software. Register the serial number in your account to add the product(s). Afterwards, you will see a download button to download the software in the list of registered products.

What kind of software protection is used?
Our plug-ins use an activation key that will unlock the program on a computer. Per purchased license you can install the software any number of times and use it on up to two computers simultaneously.
The activation key links your serial number and your machines. This data (serial, key and machine/host-id) will NOT contain any personal data. They are simply computer-generated numbers.
After the purchase of a plug-in you will receive the activation key immediately online, per activation file or manually by E-Mail.
How many times can I install a plug-in?
Any number of times! Using the serial number that you received when you purchased a plug-in, you can create two activation keys simultaneously.
If you want to install -for example- a plug-in later on a different computer or a new computer, then "deactivate" a key and re-create this for the new computer easily.
On how many computers can I activate a plug-in?
You can activate and use a plug-in simultaneously on TWO computers. You can also delete an activation at any time and assign this 'free' key to a different/new computer.
The activation process (and also the installation of a plug-in) can be repeated as many times as you want.
I forgot to deactivate / My computer got new hardware and now I cannot activate again.
If you have activated a plug-in but are NOT able to deactivate it using the "deactivate"-button in the "about" dialog of the software (for example because you forgot to deactivate before uninstalling, changed computer-hardware or use a new/other computer), you can deactivate the software via your web-account on our web-page. Before you can use this function, you need to register your serial(s) in your account. Go to "Account -> Software" to register your serial. After that, you are able to download updates or deactivate all of your activations to use them again.
What if I lose data for activation?
For activation, actually only the serial number is important (which you will receive when purchasing a plug-in). The activation keys may be deleted and could be reassigned to (other) computers.
The serial number will be sent to you via e-mail and should be stored at a secure place - and above all protected against third party. If you lose your serial number, please contact us via e-mail, for example
Do I need an internet connection for activation?
No. If your computer on which you want to activate a plug-in does not have access to the internet, you can use other methods.
You can request the activation key via another computer with internet access, via email or via an activation-file. However, the activation on a computer with internet access is the fastest and easiest.
If you do not have internet access at all, you can print the created email and mail it to us.
I just loaded the demo version, then bought the software. But the activation dialog does not open. How do I activate the software now?
The demo versions and the full versions of our plugins are NOT the same (as is the case with some other software, where you can activate the demo version to the full version as well). You can download the full version from the link in the activation email and have to install it as well - the full and demo versions are completely independent from each other.
In your DAW then BOTH versions - the demo and full version - should be visible. The demo version will always have "TRIAL" in the displayed name.
If you include the full version as an effect in a project, the activation dialog will also appear. Of course you can uninstall the demo version without affecting the full version.

Where can I download my purchased software or updates of the software?
On our web-page you can download the TRIAL version of our software. This versions are not the productive software-versions you use for activation if you bought the software!
There are two ways to download the (latest) software versions:
If you bought the software in our online-shop, you will receive an e-mail containing a link to download the purchase-version of the software. So we recommend to archive the e-mail. Keep in mind that the serial-no is a very important number identifying your purchase!
Another way to get the download and also updates of the software is using the "Account -> Software" page. To access the "Software" page you first have to create an user-account on our web-page (or log-in if you have created already). Register your product using the serial-no of your product (sent by e-mail at the time you bought it).
Afterwards you will get access to the "Software" page via the "Account" menu on which you have the possibility to download your products or latest updates or can deactivate already activated software (e.g. if you have no access to the computer or installation anymore to free all available activation and use them again).
In all other situations, please contact us via our support-page.
I cannot activate the plug-in I loaded from your web-page. There's no activation dialog!
That's right. On our web-page (on the "Download" page), you have the possibility to download the TRIAL versions only.
Our trial versions are not purchase-versions and cannot be activated!
If you bought the software, you will get an e-mail containing a link to download the purchase-version.
To download the purchase version of the software from our website later on, you must create a user profile and then register your serial number under "Account -> Software". You will then have access to activate and download. Or alternatively, you can use the eMail you received when you placed your order - it contains the link.

Activation dialog shows message 'Invalid serial number'
Question: I have run your plugin (with serial number: #X-X-XXXXXXXXXX) on a computer which has no more connection to the internet. Now i want to register it on a new computer. When entering the old serial number an error message appears "invalid serial number". How can I register on that new system?
Please check that you do NOT enter any spaces when entering the serial number in the activation dialog or do NOT copy the serial number from an eMail or similar.
There could be invisible/unrecognized characters. You must also NOT enter the hash character "#".
So ALWAYS enter the serial number in the form X-X-XXXXXXXX.
Problems activating on Windows 7 64 bit
If you receive the message "The service is currently unavailable. Please try again later", there is a problem with the connection to the activation server. In this case, proceed as follows:
Make sure that antivirus and firewall programs do not block Internet access and that you have a good connection to the Internet.
Also, check to see if you have the latest operating system updates installed.0
Check under "Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Advanced" that the option "Use TLS 1.1" is set under "Security". If the service is not available, try again after some time.
Problems Message "The service is currently unavailable" on Mac
If you receive the message "The service is currently unavailable. Please try again later", there is a problem with the connection to the activation server.
Make sure that antivirus and firewall programs do not block Internet access and that you have a good connection to the Internet.
Also, check to see if you have the latest operating system updates installed.
Some DAW hosts do not allow access to the Internet, even if the firewall is not blocking. In this case, use other programs or DAWs to activate/ deactivate the plugin or use the alternative option to activate / deactivate via a "key file" via browser or email. You can do both via the registration dialog.
